GENE TRANSCRIPTION: An Important Term In Medical Field.

Human being is the only vertebrate animal. To our surprise human being is also an animal. Human beings have evolved over a period of years. There has been a significant change in human body and human features. Human beings earlier used to have a tail. The tail bone is an evidence of it. But with the passing phases of time this tail is not a feature of human body. The first living thing is said to be algae. Algae were a single cell living thing. But with the passage of time we have seen a number of living beings evolving. It is the cell which performs the important functions of the body. Each cell has a different function assigned to it. The most important function which is necessary to be performed in the body is the conveying of message by RNA to DNA. DNA in the body performs the important function of preparing a complimentary RNA. This complimentary RNA in turn prepares amino acids or it can be said that it prepares proteins for the body. This process is called as gene transcription.

In this process of gene transcription the r n a in the body copies the d n a sequence .in order to explain a layman it can be said that in gene transcription a duplicate r n a is created which conveys the message to the cell. Due to this process of transcription the RNA which is created facilitates the important function of cell communication in our bodies. This message is given to the genes to build structural building blocks or proteins in our body. DNA is deoxyribonucleic acid which is vital for the body. It is the factor which determines the genes and genes in term determine the body, weight, height, skin color and other aspects of the body.

After the process of gene transcription the message which is created is also given to the cytoplasm of the body. Gene transcription is a vital function this is because it is necessary to fight with infections and diseases by creation of various proteins. Gene transcription is also necessary for the body also to adapt to the existing conditions. Dinosaurs got extinct because of the failure of their transcription process in the body. Their DNA could not produce the necessary proteins which were necessary in order to adjust to the prevailing conditions and combat with the viruses and infections. Every creature has its different process of transcription. This is because the requirement of different creatures is different. A question is generally asked that why there is need of gene transcription and why can't the DNA perform this function on its own.

The main reason for this is the inability of the DNA to get detached from the nucleus of the cell. The DNA cannot be detached from the nucleus to convey the message to the other cells. This is the reason why gene transcription is done which creates a systematic copy of the DNA and a complimentary RNA is created which performs this important function. Scientists have found out way to inject RNA into human body which suits individual human body and is able to perform the functions.
